Brock enters his third year on the athletic administrative staff at Texas A&M-Kingsville after serving as head track coach and cross country coach at H.M. King High School in Kingsville for 5 years. He also served as an assist track and field coach for the Javelinas for two years. Brock has spent a total of 35 years of coaching in Texas high schools. He has been a Special Olympics Athletics coach for 15 years. He assisted in the founding of the Karnes County, Texas, Texas Special Olympics athletic teams. Brock coached for 27 years at Falls City High School, serving as Athletic Director, and coaching football, basketball and track. He also coached at Runge H.S. and Medina H.S. Brock's track & field teams have won 2 U.I.L. state championships, 3 state runner-up titles, 6 regional track championships and 33 district titles. He finished his basketball career with over 400 victories. Brock served active duty in the U.S. Air Force and Texas Air National Guard. Brock is a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association and U.S.A. Track and Field. He is married to Janis Wilson Brock. They have two sons, Cory David of Conroe, TX and Kirby David of Kingsville, along with four grandchildren. | |||||||||||
