Javelinas Ranked in South Central Region

Five teams from the Lone Star Conference are in the South Central Regional rankings

KINGSVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (17-11, 9-7 LSC) is ninth in the first batch of the South-Central Regional rankings for the 2017 season.    
 
Of the ten clubs ranked in the South-Central region, five of them come out of the Lone Star Conference including No. 2 Tarleton State, No. 4 Angelo State, No. 7 A&M-Commerce, No. 8 West Texas A&M, and No. 9 Texas A&M-Kingsville. 
 
Regis University leads the region with a 20-2 in-region record and is 22-3 overall this season. Colorado School of Mines holds the third seed, MSU Denver is fifth, Arkansas-Fort Smith comes in at No. 6, and Colorado Mesa rounds out the region at No. 10.  
 
With the rankings now released, senior day (Saturday, November 4) is that much more important for the Blue and Gold as they take on West Texas A&M at 2 p.m in the confines of the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center. The day prior to that match, the Javelinas will face UT Permian Basin at 7 p.m.
