KINGSVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (17-11, 9-7 LSC) is ninth in the first batch of the South-Central Regional rankings for the 2017 season.  Â

Of the ten clubs ranked in the South-Central region, five of them come out of the Lone Star Conference including No. 2 Tarleton State, No. 4 Angelo State, No. 7 A&M-Commerce, No. 8 West Texas A&M, and No. 9 Texas A&M-Kingsville.Â

Regis University leads the region with a 20-2 in-region record and is 22-3 overall this season. Colorado School of Mines holds the third seed, MSU Denver is fifth, Arkansas-Fort Smith comes in at No. 6, and Colorado Mesa rounds out the region at No. 10. Â

With the rankings now released, senior day (Saturday, November 4) is that much more important for the Blue and Gold as they take on West Texas A&M at 2 p.m in the confines of the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center. The day prior to that match, the Javelinas will face UT Permian Basin at 7 p.m.Â
