KINGSVILLE, Texas (Football) – After taking top 10 teams to the wire in back-to-back weeks, the toughest schedule in the Lone Star Conference continues with Texas A&M University-Kingsville (2-2, 0-2 LSC) hosting Angelo State University (1-3, 0-2 LSC) Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at Javelina Stadium. Saturday will be Family Weekend sponsored by Pueblo Tires & Service.

The Javelinas lead the all-time series 29-16 (33-16 overall). Saturday's bout will be the 50
th contest between the two programs. Kingsville is 16-6 when hosting the Rams.

SCOUTING THE HOGS
Myles Carr's 376 passing yards in last week's near upset over No. 6/10 A&M-Commerce were the fifth most in single game Javelina history. The senior tossed three touchdowns and finished 25-of-40. For the year, Carr has thrown 11 touchdowns and just one interception.
Nick Pelrean, who made his first start as a Javelina last week, finished with 75 rushing yards and he and
Luis Lopez have two rushing TDs this season. Pacing the rushing attack is senior
Greg Pitre, who averages 64.67 yards/game.

Anthony Autry and
Jordan Thomas have combined for seven touchdowns on 29 receptions. Defensively, five players have recorded interceptions, led by
Emond Hobbs' two versus Midwestern State University.
Jarrod Sanders,
Forrest Jones and
Rodney Hubert returned pick-sixes in the 68-7 win over Simon Fraser University.
Justin Guillory also has an INT.

Brandon Jones ranks 10
th in the nation with 5.0 sacks for 28 yards and 5.5 tackles for losses for 31 yards. Jones has tallied 17 tackles and a forced fumble.
Braedon Robinson has 5.0 tackles for losses.

Julio De la Garza is 7-of-8 on field goal attempts, including draining two 40-plus yarders last week at A&M-Commerce.
Tristan Hernandez is averaging 40.30 yards per punt as a senior.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
Linebacker Melvin Robinson was named the LSC's Defensive Player of the Week after collecting 19 tackles against Eastern New Mexico last week. He helped hold the Greyhounds to just 51 yards in the second half and also recovered a fumble. His 19 tackles were the second-most in a single game in NCAA Division II this season.

On special teams, the Rams lead the nation – regardless of Division – in blocked kicks with seven. The seven blocks is also the school record and the most since 2003 for Angelo State. Markus Jones has six of the seven and also ranks fourth in the conference with 7.5 tackles for a loss.
